Two more ships left the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk and Yuzhny with grain for export: the first one is carrying 3,050 tons of wheat to Turkish Tekirdag, the second one is carrying 60,000 tons of corn to Iran. This was announced on Twitter by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
Chernomorsk left the ship Sormovsky under the flag of Belize, the ministry specified. According to VesselFinder, it is almost full, as it is capable of carrying no more than 3.3 thousand tons of payload, it left the Black Sea port at 6:55 Moscow time and is moving towards Odessa.
The vessel Star Laura left Yuzhny under the flag of the Marshall Islands at 6:26 Moscow time, maximum load & mdash; 82.2 thousand tons
The day before, the Turkish Ministry of Defense reported that Chornomorsk could not leave one ship due to weather conditions, the name was not specified in the department.
On August 9, the Joint Coordinating Center authorized the departure of two vessels from Chornomorsk: MV Ocean Lion (carrying 64,720 tons of corn) to Incheon, South Korea, and MV Rahmi Yaggi (carrying 5,300 tons of sunflower oil) to Istanbul. On August 8, Ukrainian ports left the ships Sakura (carrying 11 thousand tsoi to Italy) and Arizona (with 48.5 thousand tsoi to Turkey). By that time, since the conclusion of the “grain deal” Ten ships left Ukraine.
This agreement was signed separately by Russia and Ukraine with Turkey and the UN on July 22. The parties undertook to create a safe corridor for the passage of ships with grain in the Black Sea, representatives of the UN, Turkey and Ukraine will act as observers to control the loading. The contract provides for screening to exclude the transport of military cargo. It is concluded for three months with the possibility of extension.
