Against the background of the military operation in Ukraine and the unprecedented sanctions against Moscow by the West, the management of Skolkovo synchronized with the tasks set by the Russian government, the head of the Skolkovo Foundation said in an interview with RBC. Igor Drozdov.

“We [the Skolkovo Foundation], in fact, have synchronized with the tasks that the government sets for itself. First of all, we discuss working issues with employees, how we should adjust the activities of the fund in order to be useful to start-ups in the current situation. I often talk with colleagues, my task— inspire them, inspire optimism and positivity so that they remain emotionally stable, focused on work and results, & mdash; he said.

According to Drozdov, the current situation “motivates”, however, despite external restrictions, the work schedule at Skolkovo remains “reasonable”. “My favorite rhetorical question is: “When will everything be smooth?” But in a sense, there is more drive; complexity»,— he noted.

In turn, the rector of the Skoltech Institute, Alexander Kuleshov, told RBC that, despite the special operation and the difficulties in his work, he did not break personal relations with anyone. “I didn’t break off relations with anyone. A couple of days ago, our former professor, a Frenchman, sent an absolutely amazing letter from "his" on Channel One" in the program of [Vladimir] Solovyov, you can read out —wrote: what bastards the Americans are, and how right you are in everything, — he pointed out.

This happened after an interview with the American edition of Mother Jones, where Dvorkovich advocated a peaceful settlement in Ukraine. In addition, as the head of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), he said that he was seeking to deprive Russia and Belarus of holding international chess tournaments. And later he issued a new statement “that he is sincerely proud of the “courage of our soldiers”, but added that “the main thing is that a strong peace and a more just order will eventually be established on our planet.”

Secretary General Council of “United Russia” Andrey Turchak then advocated the immediate dismissal of Dvorkovich from Skolkovo, stating that the fund should be used to begin “self-purification of our society.” The Kremlin then noted that the decision to leave the head of the fund should be made by himself.
