The issue of including metals in the deal on Ukrainian exports is impossible without discussing sanctions against Russian producers , Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“In any case, it must be understood here that the solution of such issues is impossible without direct linkage with the restrictions that apply to our producers, in this case metal producers. Therefore, there is a lot to discuss here,»,— he said (quoted by TASS).

At the same time, he stated that Russia's official position on the inclusion of metals in the deal on the export of Ukrainian food has not yet been formulated.

“Nothing officially has not yet been formulated, — said Peskov.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine and trade representative of the country Taras Kachka spoke earlier in an interview with the Financial Times about the idea to extend the agreement on the export of grain from Ukraine to other goods, including metals. “This is an agreement on logistics, on the movement of ships through the Black Sea. What's the difference between grain and iron ore?” he said.
