Petro Poroshenko
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was spotted at the Warsaw airport with his wife Marina. A photo with him was published by the Telegram channel “Ukraine Now”. At the end of May, Poroshenko twice had problems when trying to leave Ukraine.
A journalist from the channel filmed Poroshenko in the business terminal of the Warsaw airport. In addition to his wife, three guards were with him. The channel also published a video of a man with a bottle filmed from the back at the airport and claims that this is Poroshenko.
At the end of May, Poroshenko had problems when trying to leave the territory of Ukraine. The first time they refused to let him cross the border was on May 27, when the politician gathered for the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the European Solidarity party, of which he is the leader, reported. The border guards explained this by the fact that there was a problem with the QR code, which confirms the permission to leave. The next day, he was again not released from Ukraine, because, as the border service reported, he did not provide all the necessary documents.
Poroshenko appealed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying that he was going abroad to seek support for the country in the face of a Russian special operation, as well as the approval of the “Marshall Plan 2.0” for Kyiv. On May 30, he was allowed to cross the border.
At the end of June, a conflict broke out in a hotel in London involving Poroshenko's wife Marina and TSN journalist Natalia Goncharova. The latter met the ex-president's family at the hotel, began filming them and asking questions. Poroshenko expressed his willingness to answer, but his wife tried to grab Goncharova's phone and twist her arm, TSN reported.
Poroshenko served as president of Ukraine from June 2014 to May 2019. He tried to be re-elected for a second presidential term, but lost to Volodymyr Zelensky during the voting. A case was initiated against Poroshenko in Ukraine regarding the supply of coal from Donbass in 2014-2015. He goes through articles on the financing of terrorism, treason and the creation of a terrorist organization. Poroshenko himself considers the persecution political.
