Hungary and Slovakia pay for oil transit via Druzhba through Ukraine

The Hungarian energy company MOL independently paid for the transit of Russian oil through the Ukrainian section of the Druzhba pipeline, the company's press service reported, Reuters reports.

“By taking the duty, MOL can provide a quick solution to the problem: Ukrainian the party promised to resume the transportation of crude oil within a few days,— MOL said in a statement.

A similar payment was reported by the Slovak oil refinery Slovnaft. They noted that the payment for transit through Ukraine had been transferred, and “the Russian side also agreed with this decision.”
