Ex-deputy head of intelligence of Ukraine opened fire during the arrest

The Security Service of Ukraine suspected the former deputy head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense of high treason. This is reported in the Telegram service.

The SBU service does not give the name of the suspect, only the title— major general. He is also suspected of encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer and illegal possession of weapons.

According to the investigation, he passed secret information about the current military-political situation in Ukraine to the Russian special services, as well as classified data on actions and measures which are undertaken by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a military conflict.

“Russia was interested in intelligence about the activities of strategically important facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine”, — The report says.

According to the investigation, Kulinich, together with former deputy secretary Vladimir Sivkovich, worked for Russia since at least June 2019 and created the basis for a quick and practically “unhindered occupation” southern regions of Ukraine.
