< p>Vyacheslav Fetisov, Chairman of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation:

“We” must clearly understand the value of sustainable development for all Russian business. I am convinced that at the  macro level we have long since passed the point where the cost of action is much lower than the price of inaction — that is, huge swaths of the planet are becoming uninhabitable, which negatively affects the future of the global economy. The ESG metric allows investors to conduct the most complete analysis of their own investments, to be successful, making more informed and balanced investment decisions. The younger generation shows an interest in earning money, while simultaneously creating and expecting a positive effect from the results of their activities. Definitely, we should all learn to invest in our common future.

It is worth recalling that President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putinin April 2022, instructed to consider the issue of supporting investment projects that meet the ESG criteria. The report on as assigned is due by 1 January, 2023 . The instruction reads as follows: "The Government of the Russian Federation to consider the issue of defining the criteria for classifying investment projects as the number of projects that meet the requirements of the concept of environmental, social and corporate responsibility (ESG), and also on providing measures of state support to participants in such projects» , — it was made following the results of a meeting with members of the all-Russian public organization “Business Russia”.
