At the moment, Russia has concluded contracts for defense exports worth 3 trillion rubles, deliveries have been made in more than half of the transactions, said the general director of the state corporation Rostec. Sergei Chemezov at the international military-technical forum “Army-2022”, RBC correspondent reports.
Chemezov noted that the order portfolio of Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec) remains stable, and export rates have not changed much compared to previous years. “The impact of a special military operation on supplies is not seen. Russia has been and remains a reliable partner in the field of MTC [military-technical cooperation] for friendly states,— he emphasized.
According to the head of Rostec, the bulk of the contracts are for aviation (about 40%) and air defense equipment (about a third). About 30% more are orders for armaments for the ground forces and the navy.
In May, the general director of Rosoboronexport Alexander Mikheev said that Russia is fulfilling its obligations on the supply of weapons, despite the difficulties with the calculations and the violation of supply chains. He assured that these problems will be resolved in the near future. Then Mikheev said that “Rosoboronexport” plans to deliver more than 200 helicopters to 24 countries by 2025, the amount of contracts exceeds $3 billion.
In the announcement of the international military-technical forum “Rosoboronexport” said that more than 70 delegations from 50 countries would attend the event. The company plans to present at the exhibition more than 200 samples of military equipment intended for export, including the Armata tank, Tiger armored vehicles; and “Bear”, unmanned systems “Orlan”, as well as Kalashnikov assault rifles in various variations and a high-precision rifle MTs-561.
