A warehouse with ammunition, no dead or wounded, said the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in the Telegram channel.

“The head of the district takes the residents of the villages of Timonovo and Soloti to a safe distance. Emergency services are working on the spot, the cause of the fire is being established, & mdash; he wrote.

The village of Timonovo is located in the southeast of the Belgorod region. It is about 30 km from the border with the Kharkiv and Lugansk regions of Ukraine, according to the data of the Yandex.Maps service.

“I am in the village of Pyatnitskoye, about 25-30 km to Timonovo. Explosions have been heard for 50 minutes already, a glow and smoke can be seen. The car shakes, the fence shakes. Explosions are frequent, do not stop. I don’t know anything about evacuation, — Valery, a resident of the Valuysky district, told RBC.

On August 16, ammunition exploded in a temporary warehouse near the Crimean Dzhankoy, the head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, reported two victims, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case (the article of the Criminal Code was not specified). The cause of the incident was sabotage, the Russian Defense Ministry said. “Damage was caused to a number of civilian facilities, including power lines, a power plant, a railway track, as well as a number of residential buildings.
